Memories of his own schooldays and his experience with the Israeli invasion of Lebanon provided successful music video producer Oualid Mouaness with inspiration for his feature film debut, which contains a fine leading role for film star Nadine Labaki (Caramel, Capernaum).

At a primary school just outside Beirut, the last day before the summer vacation has dawned. In the distance the sound of impending doom can be heard, but 11-year-old Wissam has other concerns on his mind: how can he tell his classmate Joana that he likes her? While his teachers try to hide their disquiet from the pupils, the threat of war also exposes tensions between them, of a political and personal nature.
