When Adam is offered a job as a doctor in a remote village, he embraces the opportunity to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and his stressful hospital job. Aïcha, who has lived in the village all her life and is eager to start a family, is dumped by her boyfriend when he manages to escape the country. Meanwhile, fellow villager Soufiane, who had emigrated to France, returns home in order to find a wife.
All of their lives take place amidst modern ideals and traditional values, and their paths inevitably cross.
